Things I like about DakarNo on cares if you can’t pay with the exact change in shopsI just had a hazelnut frappeThe food in general is brilliant on par with most european capitalsThere are buses, pavements public squaresYou can practise you French with bumpsters without worrying if you make a mistakeIt seems pretty multiculturalIt’s half-way (in journey time at least) to LondonThings I don’t like about DakarThere are too many cars and absolutely no-one cyclesMy hazelnut frappe cost me 2,100CFA (£3, which could feed me for a week in Basse)Taxi drivers seem resentful about accepting your business regardless of what price you agree on
