It's my birthday today! On this day in 1878 we regained our independence from the Ottoman Empire!To celebrate, I'll probably have a small get together with some friends tomorrow night. In addition, I'm thinking of going to the Mother of Peace community for orphaned and abandoned children in Mutoko (one of the places I visited with my colleagues a couple of weeks ago) this weekend to celebrate my birthday with the kids there. It should be a lot of fun and it will be extra special because one of the ladies who has been working there since the home opened turns 79 today!
