They gone miss this plane

Catherine and I headed to the market this morning- the biggest of its kind in Africa apparently. We then went back to the hotel to pick up Pauline and headed to the cathedral. We’d been warned about guides and men who look after your shoes latching themselves to you so when a man approached us outside we were very firm in telling him we didn’t need a guide. Imagine our surprise when we got into the cathedral only to find him guiding us round! He told us to follow him sowe swiftly turned the opposite way. We weren’t so lucky in shaking off the guy who wanted to look after our shoes but I suppose the 1 Birr was worth it not to lose our shoes!After eating a huge pizza we headed to the airport for our flight. I was a little surprised to see our flight saying departing at 14.50 on the departures board seeing as it was a 16.00 flight. I was even more surprised to be told by the airline staff member‘I am sorry Madam, you are too late to check in.’ It turns out the flight was at 15.00 and not 16.00. Oops! So we headed back to our hotel where they were very confused to see us checking in barely an hour after we’d checked out.
