This weekend was a VERY sad weekend as it was Heather’s last weekend in Gitarama. Her and Julia had arranged a scavenger hunt which was very amusing although there were times I wished I didn’t live and work in Gitarama- like when we were trying to put a hat and scarf on a goat! In the evening we went to Green Garden and I presented Heather with her leaving present- a comic of the story of the Milk Maid and the Beer Boy- something we had been intending to do for a while. I was glad I was finally able to give it to her as there had been some moments when I had been making it that she had come in and I’d had to pretend I was doing something else. Like the time I had to pretend I was colouring in a crossword. Something we had been intending to do since Heather arrived! It was very good. Tears were shed as we said goodbye to Heather so Julis arranged for Pauline, Judy and Geri to come round to watch the Goonies and eat popcorn and chocolate to cheer us up.Butare museum
