Our summer season is beginning now and our first guests arrive this weekend. My father has spent the last 8 months working non stop renovating the house, flats and garden. Not bad for a man of 72 with vision in only one eye. The place is looking good and I'm sure he's looking forward to resting over the summer months!Jasmine in bloom in the gardenThe flowers are beautiful this time of year and the perfume from the jasmine flowers radiates across the whole garden. This time of year the deliciousNespolafruit is ripe on ourNespolotree and should stay ripe for a few more weeks yet.  Albero di NespoloI'm looking forward to the apricots which should be ready in the next couple of weeks, probably sooner now the temperatures are in the low 30Cs. The weather has been changeable this past month but now it really feels like summer has arrived. The school term ends in a couple of weeks and many of my courses at the school have already finished. Over the next two weeks I will continue to focus on making sure the remaining students are ready to sit the Trinity exams, from level 1 to 8. To be honest they have been concentrating on the syllabus for the last few months so they are all as ready as they'll ever be. The state schools close for about 3 months so the kids get a long summer holiday.
