This was to be a routine follow with photos of just DRF's second soccer game of the season, but something went inter-gallactically astray. The photographic intent of this blog was to diverge from the first one and try new things. For example, the group photo at the beginning was perfectly light and in focus so it does not appear. Otherwise its only value would be to see how the team had aged during the course of a week, and young guys don't noticeably age in that short a period. So right off I started the ball rolling with an action photograph of the type that was noticeably missing last week. I must subconsciously walk into these corny similes as my last blog referred to Julie Andrews as an unsung philosopher. I do not do this deliberately. And here's another action shot, but notice how the light is getting worse and worse although the field had floodlights. There should have been cause for concern but the team with grittiness kept on playing. And the supportive DRF fans kept on supporting unaware of the big moment that was approaching in the sky above their heads. Helen should have known what to expect because she hails from South Africa. That country had a similar experience not that long ago.Things started to go pretty crazy but the players played on and the fans fanned on - it was a warm evening so they had to keep fanning.Intermittently the lighting reaching the camera came and went for no discernible reason.I guess we'll never know what caused the short white bolt in the sky.Or maybe we will. I think the spaceship below came to Mona to investigate the vuvuzula sonic weapon that Janice was wielding so expertly and blasting skywards. The spaceship was so big that it blocked out the moon and star light and made photographing soccer difficult.Janice's vuvuzula probably pierced through the solar system for at least two light years . This call inadvertently summoned the visitor from afar.In the interest of full disclosure I must thank the movie "District 9" for this still photo.Or maybe this is for real because something inexplicable was sucking the power out of my camera batteries. A huge spaceship like that can't stay up in the air without replenishing its power and every little AA battery has got to help. The soccer game result was unfortunately that DRF scored as many goals as last time, but the opposition scored twice as many. But DRF scored first and that was exciting.
