What is Today?

Today is Wednesday but it should have been Monday. The bank holiday that is today—Wednesday—was, last week, moved from the day it originally should have been, which is Monday. I don’t know why Monday became Wednesday, nobody explained why, nobody said. This is how things work here, or, more precisely, how things don’t work here. I didn’t work on Monday, I thought it was today. I’m not working today because itistoday. A few weeks ago they did something similar, and I did nothing again, no work, nothing. They decided on Tuesday to make Wednesday a holiday and so I did nothing. It wasn’t supposed to be on Monday that time, it just wasn’t supposed to be at all. That day wasn’t explained, it just was, maybe it will be again, we just don’t know. The calendars don’t count for much here. My diary doesn’t work. I just have to wait and see what tomorrow is.
