I've been debating for a while now whether to write the obligatory final blog post.Ordinarily it involves phrases like 'life changing', 'amazing experience' and then something about it all ending in tears and hugs.Well, I find it difficult to talk about my placement without feeling like a bit of a d.bag and I don't want to be disrespectful about what is essentially a very well intentioned local organisation.I will say that it's been a tough year in many ways but also a fantastic opportunity and one I don't reget taking. There have been many lessons learnt and I'll be taking a lot home with me...and I don't just mean the cheap contact lenses and prescription free medication!I also have a lot of faith in the work VSO do and the commitment of their staff here is a real inspiration.I'm not going to bore you any more with my Jerry Springer style final thoughs, at least not at the moment, so instead I present some of the things I learnt this year through the medium of art (or 'colourings', to be more precise).Laters.
