Feeling much better now and have a new arrival in the hen house! Little Jojo hatched on Saturday!Another egg cracked so lost a chick and I let Dave out to stop him eating Jojo... The minute he got out he did two things, mated with the neighbours hens and chased away their cock!I gave Dave to my neighbour as he was being troublesome and they cooked him! It made me a little sad but he ended on a high! They did not invite me over to eat him - mind you I doubt I would have wanted to...Not sure if the other eggs are fertile but hoping there will be some more chicks soon...The black hens both seem to be Jojos mums and they look after him like bodyguards!Maybe the hens need their own blog... (Still no students at college but finished marking all the 1st year exams and am going to help Lubuva update the website)Take care
