Van appreciation day

Mex rightly called today 'van appreciation day' as we spent 9 hours driving south through the rest of the Sierra Nevada, across the state of Nevada, passing Las Vegas riding into Utah and finally arriving at Springdale, Zion National Park. We had all be dreading the day but it wasn't so bad and I personally enjoyed the scenery... pretty much brown mountains and desert all the way. We left Yosemite about 8am and as we gradually drove away we left behind snow capped peaks behind bare rugged mountains....a fabulous contrast.Views from the vanLunch stop
