The last week has passed and although I was fed up on Thursday I must say I am much happier at the moment. The water situation is still bad - a pump is broken somewhere and no one seems to be bothered to fix it... I asked Allan to organise some water to be sent to me Friday (for some reason they do not want me to collect it myself...) but the guy did not turn up. I saw the guy on Sunday and asked him but once again no luck. I decided to get some myself from the ICT block as we have a 1000ltr tank for watering the plants!Today Lubuva has phone for someone to bring me some so fingers crossed. My buckets are getting empty... I am trying to conserve water by using old washing water to fill the toilet cistern.I have been inspiring the tutors and students by making lots of handy resources - they are not as flash as I would like are we do not have colour printers or laminators. I have made posters, mobiles, match up activities and am using string to demonstrate network topologies. These are all good because you do not need a computer to use them to teach with! There are still many schools in Tanzania without any computers and I imagine trying to teach ICT theory must be hard.Went out with Peter, Thad and Matayo Friday night, it looks like Peter is going to quit his post because his work had a meeting about his future and did not invite him along and have not told him the outcome of the meeting. We got drunk and had a moan about living here in Mpwapwa - it can be hard, much harder than Dar, Dodoma or Zanzibar!Today I have been making powerpoints on ICT pedagogy for the students - I am trying to get the information from a ministry guide but it is hard work, lots of jumbled sentences and bad grammer - but hey their English is much better than my Kiswahili. This morning I went to feed my chickens and there was an egg waiting for me! It is not very big but it is progress! I put some bowls in the coup with some bedding but the dozy hen just laid it in a corner. I hope get more soon! That is it for now just a short update again.Have a good week and take care
