Welcome to Barra!Due to some road works today all traffic (including those at the end of a bike ride across the country) was going through the July 22nd Arch, usually reserved for the president only.The finishing point! Fajara beach.I went down to dip my feet in the sea and heard a guy say“Did you cycle from Basse?”. “Yes” I replied proudly. He casually metioned “Ah, that’s great. I ran…”Celebratory drinks somewhat earlier than planned.Thanks to all the VSOs that, dispite being on a volunteer allowance collectively donated£63 forthe Basse Garden Projectand to everyone else who has helped get the total up to a whopping£223!
