Has spring arrived? Well it has certainly felt like it's here these past few days. Today reminds me of an English summer's day. February was unusually cold. We had a long spell of freezing temperatures. Sardinia was almost covered in snow, the only place it didn't arrive was here in the South West. I was shocked to see that Alghero airport closed due to snow and the famousCosta Smeraldaon the North East had a blanket of the white stuff. However that's all gone now and the trees and flowers are blossoming. From a distance the flowers on the almond trees  look like Cherry Blossom and they radiate a lovely perfume. The almonds are usually ready for picking in August and September. Almond treeThe sea looked very inviting today but the temperature of the water is still only about 14/15C which is too cold to really enjoy it. It'll be another couple of months before I'm ready to take a dip.Calm waters
