A nice quiet and relatively easy cycling route you can ride is along the back road calledPedemontanafrom Villa San Pietro to Sarroch. It takes you past my favourite mountain in this area which I can see from my house.Pedemontana RoadThe road takes you through the countryside and as you cycle up the hill and look to the east in the distance you can see the coastline and the sea. There are a few country houses along the road which offer fantastic views.If I want to do a short cycle this is a great route to take, it takes me about an hour to do the 20km circuit.I don't know why I love this mountain so much. It seems to have a particular quality to it and it feels like it speaks to you, if mountains could speak I wonder what it would say...well that's for you to discover for I know what it says to me.Summer isn't here just yet, even though it's lovely and sunny the temperatures are still in the low 20s with some cool breezes. Great weather for cycling and running but not quite perfect for the beach, it just needs to be a few degrees warmer, I'd say another week or so and the heat will be turned up!!
