Arriving home . . . .After 3 days of travelling I have finally arrived at the house that is going to be my home for the next 3 months. I have gone from the very south of the country (Accra) to the very north (Bolgatanga) which involved about 15-20 hours of actual travelling by bus.It was fantastic to see lots of different bits of the country and as it is still the rainy season, there was a lot of surprisingly green countryside.I was very pleasantly surprised when I was taken to my house, as I had prepared myself for having to collect water from a standpipe and only having light during the day. However, as you can see from these photos, this is certainly not the case!I have soon realised that Ghanaians 'love' their football so I have spent the weekend discussing/arguing about the very controversial refereeing decisions in yesterday's big game! They find it very funny that a woman is so interested in football! The last photograph is one of the eagerly anticipated motorbike which I will use next week for my week-long cycling lessons, and then in my job so that I can reach the more remote schools in the area:I'm trying to think of a suitable name so send me your suggestions . . .I'm missing you all and very much like hearing of news from home so please keep it coming.Zam Zam (good evening!)Ali xx
