A new way to combat computer viruses

My roommate Richelle was in a rural village yesterday visiting a local government office. While she was there one of the staff members was scanning their computer for viruses and it identified 74 viruses. They immediately clicked on“cancel”, saying that is what their computer technician told them to do. Richelle explained that they needed to do the scan again and instead click “repair all” to get rid of the viruses and proceeded to help them remove viruses from their computers, flash disks and cameras.Meanwhile, she was told, after telling them to click“cancel”, their computer technician had gone home to fetch tools so that he could open the computers and physically remove all of the viruses! Oh, we had a good laugh over that one ... I bet he's not going to remain employed with them for long.
