The campus is coming back to life. Students arriving for the new term which begins Monday. The last few days the gardens have been revitalised by the hardworking gardeners and looking very pretty. I am looking forward to the college canteen reopening. Having to eat out most nights for the last few weeks has been nice, but it's much more expensive than the canteen . I can get a decent meal there for about 4RMB (40p) and it's convenient. The grade 3 students will be living on the new campus on the outskirts of town, they'll be moving there at the beginning of November once they have completed their teaching practice in schools throughout the prefecture. We should all be moving there next March after the spring festival. The college applied for university status last year and was rejected, however, once the college is relocated onto a much larger campus it is hoped that it will be upgraded to a university. I am also personally looking forward to moving because I will be given better accommodation. I am still living in a basic room within the college guest house block. It's comfortable and I have made it quite cosy, but it will be nice to get an upgrade!! I have attached a photo of the building, plus the view from my bedroom window on the 5th floor, the very last window on the block to the left.
