Went on a visit to Makasutu nature reserve, a very interesting place set up by two British guys in the 1990’s. The fruit bats are asleep, apparently, although their eyes are open, a trick I’d love to master if only for staff meetings…the guy halfway up a palm tree is tapping the tree for sap to make palm wine, a truly hideous drink not for the weak-stomached…
