Wednesday 26th AugustWent to work, I kept updating Moodle, there is always plenty to add. I was excited as Liz was coming in the afternoon (probably for the last time as leaving Mpwapwa soon…)Her bus was late as it broke down past Kongwa but it was only late by a half an hour (still I was impatient to see her)In the afternoon we went into town to meet Matayo and get a dress made for Liz. We were going to a wedding on Saturday night and Liz wanted to wear a locally made dress. At sunset we went up to my tiny local bar and had some sunset beers. We had a candlelit dinner date at home where I cooked some yummy veg Liz bought in Dar and she cooked the rice. We had some wine and fell asleep nice and happy.Thursday 27th AugustI went to work this morning and Liz went for a walk along the main road. After the walk she came to see me at work. Lubuva was pleased to see her.In the evening we invited Matayo and Thad over for some spaghetti and scrabble games. The second game started to deteriorate due to wine and beer intake but we all had fun.Friday 28th AugustLiz went for a walk again and was stuck at work. In the afternoon Liz went to pick up her new outfit and we went up Tigo hill again probably for the last time together. Liz had brought her SLR camera and we were testing it out.Saturday 29th AugustLazy day, well at least for me– Liz did some clothes washing. In the evening Matayo, Liz and I went to a local wedding in the evening. It was a pretty big wedding compared to the others that I have been to. It was in the hall next to the posta. The thing that I remember most clearly (even after 7 beers…) was that rather than a wedding cake there was a wedding goat – I was cooked and carried down the isle to the bride and groom to cut and share! Liz being a veggie was a little put off but I found it interesting.Sunday 30th AugustHad a lazy morning and I went and got eggs and chapattis for breakfast. At 3pm Liz and I went to Matayo’s house and then we walked to the livestock institute for some exercise and so that Matayo could get some milk. For dinner we went to Abebis, I had not been there for a while and it was nice to see Harune again. They did try and overcharge us though which was annoying and does not happen in Hafuns. After dinner Liz and I packed for our adventure and then had an early night– we were catching the 6am bus to Morogoro and would be heading to Iringa on our way to Zambia!
