A brief vacation description pause to remember Nairobi

I’m taking a brief pause in my postings about my vacation to reflect on my past few days in Nairobi, after being away from it for 3 weeks.- On Sunday night, we had to pack my parents suitcases in the dark as the power spontaneously went out. (Not abnormal, I had just forgotten)- The next morning my shower heater broke, for the third time in 6 months, due to the power surges and I had to buy a new one.- On Tuesday I was stuck in traffic for 1.5 hours to travel a distance of only 5 km.-My eyes have been itchy and I’ve been sneezing from the dust, dryness and diesel.- After work today, as I was about to make my daily dash across 6 lanes of traffic on Mombasa Rd, I saw that the 'mad man' who harasses me whenever he has the chance was making a scene in the median so I had to walk about 0.5 km for the next reasonably safe place to cross. As soon as dashed across I saw there was a notable break in traffic, as about 50 metres before I crossed and less than a minute before I crossed someone was hit by a matatu and killed doing the same thing.… Strangely enough though, I think the church next door is finally getting better at singing. (I’m looking for the silver lining)
