By luck or fate, on Saturday November 1st, 2008 VSO placed the 2 Canadian volunteers together as flat mates and ever since Richelle and I have been virtually inseperable. We've helped eachother through the ups and downs of adjusting to life in a new country; travelled from the Maasai Mara game reserve to the tropical coast; climbed mountains and cycled through Hell's Gate national park in the East African Rift Valley; and had a lot of laughs in Nairobi too!I feel like my two-year VSO term has been split in 2 chapters and the first is officially over. :-( Richelle, Nairobi just isn't going to be the same without you!
