Disadvantages of the cottage in the city

Last night when my friend was taking tea out to the guard at "the cottage" he asked her to please not walk on the lawn at night. Curious, she asked why (thinking it was for security purposes) and he told her they had seen snakes over the past week.This morning I learned from the gardener that they weren't just any kind of snakes - on Thursday night they had killed a 2 foot black mamba! Will definitely be avoiding the lawn at night from now on!
