We have finally met up with Ollie. He has been in and out of Cambodia while we have been travelling around. He even stayed at the same hotel in Sisophon shortly before we did! This is partly due to his need to renew visas and to syncronise with his friends. He missed the bus on the first day we thought he was coming this week as his tuc tuc got caught in traffic coming out of Angkor Wat (Siem Reap). We had pretty much given up on seeing him the next day when he suddenly appeared in our hotel! It had been difficult for him to keep in touch as he'd left his phone behind so couldn't contact the tuc tuc driver we'd organised. He was eventually guided to our hotel by a local resturant owner who knew us!He looked tired but well and it's been good to catch up with him - especially for Alison. Last night we Skyped Matt in China and we had a really good session together. We bought some headphones with mic attached which made it much easier to chat. We also got to see his girlfriend - Challin. He seemed very relaxed and happy. Alison was very happy to see be able to see two of her boys at once!!The boys all enjoyed a cooked breakfast this morning and we wondered around town. Fortunately it's much cooler at the moment - even chilly in the mornings --so that made it a bit easier!! A local was heard to say it was freezing! It's lovely weather really! Sorry to see how wet and cold it's been back home!!We had a relaxing drink overlooking the river after showing them our classroom. This evening we had a real Asian meal in another part of town though we think it was Vietnamese food - a kind of thin egg pancake with bean sprouts and mince. Interesting! We were meant to eat it all with our fingers - which Alison and the boys did but I eventually found myself a spoon and fork - so much easier!!They leave tomorrow morning for Phnom Penh then Ollie flies back home as he's run out of money. His friend (Matt Jones from St. Ives area) is going to continue his travels. It's sad for Ollie but I think he's enjoyed his experience and it has helped him work out what he wants to do in the future.
