Hi everybody! We have arrived! Very long flight after a couple of stressful days (or more!!) but all went smoothly with travel plans though we only reached the bus stop in Cambridge with 10 minutes to spare! It's incredibly hot here. Had Kompot pepper already - at VSO office - very nice. The office doubles as a hostel and meeting area. Our room is basic but private. No air con but there are fans. Both taps produce hot water and wobble about and the shower is cold but welcome in the heat. We have to share a bathroom with and Indian volounteer from Bohpal (spelling?) which is sandwiched between the 2 bedrooms. I haven't got a chance there (Paul!!). - haven't they heard of en suite??Unfortunately Paul's bag is wrecked so will need to get a new one. Very helpful and friendly staff at air conditioned internet cafe staff as connection keeps going on and off but it's free and "unsecure" and ice cooled coffee (like Starbucks) is very welcome. We were both very brave flying but I think the group (VSO) mentality helped. Thanks to all at Hunts AC for a great send off. Mind you, the Dolphin shower was hopeless - probably worse than the one here!!More later when a bit more refreshed.
