My feet for the end of RamadanAll the women had this done to their feet for the end of Ramadan. My neighbours helped me do mine using tape, henna, and then a solution that turned the henna black. The primary school at SimatouThe village at Simatou is next to an irrigation canal, and when it rains the canal overflows, flooding the whole village. The rains normally stop in early to mid-September, but this year there was still some rain at the end of September, so the school is still underwater (see the picture above). The students in the picture are the top two classes of the primary school in the church, which they're using for a schoolroom, although some students still can't reach the church because of the flood and there is no space for the younger classes to have lessons so they are out of school. The school wants to raise enough money to build a dyke next to the canal to stop flooding.
