I visited a Confucious, pronouncedKǒng Fūzǐin Chinese temple in the old part of Jingdong today. Confucious was a philosopher in around 500BC who has deeply influenced the Chinese way of life.  Although Confucianism is often followed in a religious manner by the Chinese, arguments continue over whether it is a religion. He expressed the well-known principle,"Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself". I won't go into detail about what Confucianism is about in part because I don't really know that much about it!! During our walkabout around the temple we were followed and stared at by these cute little children but some adults blatantly stood and took photos of us without asking. It seems that here in Jingdong the locals have never seen foreigners before. I have noticed it's much worse when I am with Edie and Freda because they are kids and obviously much cuter. I have attached a couple of pics at the temple.
