From listening to the traffic noise outside our apartment, our neighbourhood seems back to normal. We've not heard any gun shots since we've been home and George has been advised he can return to work in the morning. We've read in the papers that the barricades are down in a number of areas including Spanish Town, but I believe parts of Tivoli Gardens and Denham Town are still fortified. I've also read that Coronation Market has moved to another location. Apparently the vendors stands were used for barricades and it's rumoured the market was burned but no one knows for sure because no one is allowed in that area any more. We will continue to move about Kingston cautiously because even though it all appears fine here, we know the fighting continues as the security forces search for Dudus and 12 of his associates who all seem to have vanished.
