Our adventure up the Blue Mountains took us to visit a coffee planation and stop at the highly recommended Gap Cafe where we were guaranteed to see hummingbirds. We saw lots of the Canadian style hummingbirds, but we were also blessed by the doctor birds, or god birds, which are the Jamaican national birds. That in itself was worth the visit to the cafe. Although the pumpkin soup and club sandwiches were very nice as well. This doctor bird is really flying in the air, that's the sky behind him even though it looks like he's been pressed in paper like one of those grade 4 autum leaf projects. You can see his wings moving as he's hovering beside us at the cafe. The steps leading from the house towards the plantation below. The girls and the owner of the coffee plantation. We'll get the name and post it later...it's on the bags of coffee that we bought but we left them in Kingston and we can't find the plantation name on the internet. On the steps leading down to the coffee plantation house.Nadine reading the menu at the Gap Cafe and the reason we saw so many hummingbirds...they have feeders all around the outdoor patio.Leaving the Gap Cafe on the Blue Mountains.
