Sorry for the lack of postings all you ardent blog followers but we've been out and about a lot lately so some of my blog writing time has been taken up with staying in hotels, using swimming pools and enjoying bus and shared taxi rides!Alison has to attend courses and meetings from time to time which involves us staying away from home. I have drafted a few about local activities including the travelling process and the brilliant football match we were involved in in Sisophon, at which I played my trumpet to create "atmosphere" and Alison organised a massed litter pick! I will post the completed drafts as soon as I can.We were even due to meet the Duke of Gloucester recently when he visited the region but sadly we had to cancel and come back home to England as my dear mother has sadly and finally passed away at the grand old age of 93.She had not been so good since her fall a couple of months ago and she never really recovered from the trauma. She had been in a new nursing home in Bognor for 10 days but died peacefully in her sleep last Sunday. It's been difficult being so far away and not seeing her for over 8 months but there had been quite a decline in her health in recent months and in some ways I'd rather remember her as she was - which was cheerful and enthusiastic - rather than as a frail, little old lady!So I'm afraid the blogging will take a back seat for a while, while I sort out family affairs.
