Well, it wasn't ever on my "must do before I die" list but I have to say that going to Glastonbury was one of the most amazing experiences I have had in years! We were a group of five women, me, Sally, Lynne, Gail and Louise with guest appearances from Lois and Lorraine. We had the mobile home option, see above. We had our own gazebo and windbreak and so managed some privacy of sorts. See next photos of final placing the gazebo (£14 from Tesco) and bijou hairwashing arrangements in the morning.Lois and Lorraine went for the low-rent option in a tent. Be warned if you are considering it as an option. Imagine trying to find your way home in the dark! There is nothing that can prepare you for the numbers of people, in the region of 180,000 I understand. And, not one hint of attitude or aggression. As I get back in touch with my latent hippy side I was once again reassured of the essential goodness of human beings. The organisation of all of those people, the toilets weren't half as bad as they could have been, was amazing. The music, the food stalls, the craft stalls, the Healing Fields, the Left Field (I listened to Tony Benn doing a question and answer for an hour - fantastic) and the weather all conspired to make it truly memorable. We had a great time and were ably supported by Lynne and Louise who have done a few festivals. We were all thrilled with our t-shirts and hoodies with the front message "Elegantly Wasted@Glasto2010", on the back was the intruction to return the wearer to the Champagne Tent if lost! And there was one! Here we are on Saturday night, properly kitted out for the evening. Now, what were the highlights for me? Corinne Bailey-Rae, Ray Davies, The Scissor Sisters (with guest appearance from Kylie), Florence and the Machine and Stevie Wonder who, despite some American schmalz, made me cry. I had the lump in the throat and the teary eyes as I sang and danced to every song on my dirty feet. But in the end there is only one Rolfie Harris atGlastonbury
