It was a bit chaotic at the hospital yesterday! I arrived to be told the Thai surgeon was in Siem Reap (the home of Angkor Wat)! They had forgotten to phone me to cancel! Eventually they found a doctor (Khmer I think) who said the original x rays show a small fracture! He showed me and eventually I could see what he meant then I was able to talk to the Thai surgeon in Siem Reap. So he now believes todays doctor but not the first one - yet they looked at the same x rays! I spoke to our (VSO) GP who was horrified. They were going to talk to her but the doctor disappeared to see another patient. We are now assuming it's fractured and the Thai surgeon has promised to see me on Tuesday.At least it's probably better to keep the cast on longer rather than take it off too soon and create further problems. I'm glad to say Alison has now joined me for a few days.
