Last week we headed down to Crystal Palace athletics stadium which was the surprising location for our motorbike training. This is required because we will be riding bikes on a regular basis in Cambodia. Following a couple of hours learning about clothing and a 'crash' course in basic motorcycle mechanics it was time to get our heads sized up before revving into action...All smiles at the stadium, helmets in hand ready to tear up the tarmac.Out on the road, those L-plates are there for a reason...What is that idiot doing?Instructor Pete briefs Gilly on her forthcoming U-turn manoeuvre......Which is executed with aplomb.
