It's Fashion Week in Kingston which means everything is on sale up to 70% off. I was unable to take full advantage because my arm's in a sling and I didn't go far this week. I was able to buy a new hand bag to replace my last one which had fallen apart and of no use to me because of the extra long strap which required the use of two functioning shoulders. This is the third handbag I've discarded and bought since living here in less than 6 months. George too was able to take advantage of the sales and replaced his belt. He's gone through belts almost as fast as I have handbags. This is the second he's worn out, thrown out and replaced.Fashion week means also that some of the stores are serving wine and cheese tonight. It seems like a major event, although I was unable to find any reference to it on the web. Sovereign Mall across the street is protected by about 10 fully armed policemen guarding the front entrance and that's above and beyond the normal security guards. George said it looked like they were expecting some one very important but they could be there just to prevent trouble - we'll never know.
