Although I haven’t been able to make more use of the 4x4 since Tuesday as the Maths teachers were attending the workshop in here at the TRC, I have been very grateful for having it as it has poured and poured all this week. They say this is how it usually is in January. This year, the rains came very late. Thankfully I have managed to remain pretty dry, I must now forget that it is not parked by the house until Monday morning as it is not permitted to be used outside working hours ad not allowed for personal use. The temptation to stop by the supermarket has had to be suppressed. It has been particularly enticing knowing that there is this available vehicle sitting there unused when at night you feel trapped indoors and can’t even cycle out alone to another person’s house for an evening for the sake of safety. Socialising is limited to day-time, returning before sunset. I feel a bit restricted because of this, but will try to think of alternative ways to spend my evenings, contrary to my lifestyle in London. Is this more of a reason to be grateful for getting up before sunrise during the week?
