The view from our bedroom window is the compound parking lot. It's usually fairly empty back there because everyone who owns a car parks as close to their front doors as they can leaving the back lot free. The nice thing about it is that whenever I look out our window I see this beautiful old and abandoned red Volkswagen Beetle. For months on end it's been the only colour out there because the bougainvillea and cactus bloom in spurts and they're not in full bloom right now.Since the day we moved in I have been wondering who owns it and who has the keys and how much it would cost to fix it up to a road worthy state. I've never seen anyone near it but it has plates on it even though with those flat tires it's never left its spot. And who do I ask to find out all these questions? Ah! Hubert our gardener might know.I love this car! It looked so pretty yesterday in all the rain.
