Birthday celebrations in Barcelona

Ready to take on the city!I'm just back from a great couple of days celebrating my dear friend Marie's 50th Birthday in Barcelona. It's fantastic to catch up with friends I used to work with at Luton Airport many of whom I haven't seen for about 3 years. It felt like no time had passed between us, and still having the same fun together.We took a bus tour around the city which is a great way to take in the sights and sounds, but to really appreciate Barcelona you need a bit more time than I had. The city of Gaudi is beautiful and I intend to go back there in the not too distant future. Connections from Cagliari are excellent at the moment, cheap flights direct to the city.Casa Batllo' The first building I specifically noticed as I arrived in the city isCasa Batllowhich is just around the corner from where we were staying. It's magnificent and for me resembled something from one of the fairy tales I read as a child.It's truly a wonderful city and look forward to returning :-)
