This weekend, Julia, Suzanne and I headed to Butare for a weekend of nature and dancing. And it definitely lived up to expectations. A lot of dancing on Friday meant I only got two hours sleep before heading to Nyungwe Forest to do the canopy walk with Julia, Suzanne and John. The canopy walk was great but not what I was expecting. I think I was hoping for a rope bridge high above the trees. Instead, it’s a metal bridge between tree tops.The highlight of Nyungwe was when we sat down for a picnic and suddenly were surrounded by monkeys!Saturday night we went for a Chinese which was AMAZING. We then headed to Space Place for a night of dancing and pool (Julia won all the games- she’s a proper hustler!) It was such a good night but, again, we only had two hours sleep before we had to check out of the hotel. So by the end of Sunday I had survived on about 4 hours sleep for the entire weekend. Anyone who knows me, knows that I don’t do well on no sleep!
