The difficult part about being a volunteer is saying goodbye as people come and go. It seems to happen a lot more than in traditional life. Although Bernadette and Igor aren't volunteers, it's just as difficult saying goodbye...they're leaving just the same but were the greatest help to us as we settled in 8 months ago.Sorry we missed you last night Igor, but as you said on the phone, we know we'll meet up again somewhere in the world... George and I are hoping it will be in Shanghai.All the best with your next posting. I can't wait to hear Sophia's accent after she's learned a little Mandarin.
