Oh it was so marvellous to step off the plane this afternoon and feel the warmth of the sunshine and immediately switch my glasses for sunglasses. Within minutes of being home I opened my closet door to change into lighter gear and was pleasantly surprised to find all the bright whites and light pretty colours hanging in our closet. Such a change from the winter darks with a base colour of black in my Canadian closet. I exchanged my blue jeans for white shorts. The jeans will be shoved to the back of the closet with my winter coat and only pulled out again when I fly back to Canada in winter. Thanks to everyone who mailed Christmas cards. Hubert our gardener slipped them in through the hurricane shutters on some days and on others shoved them under the door in our absence so we returned to a carpet of cards, like a welcome mat, when we opened our door. It's good to be back in our other warm winter home, armed with new games to while away the long evenings.Below is Me No Sen, You No Come in Cockpit Country, a large expanse of land in between Montego Bay and Kingston. No one appears to live there and there are no roads in this area. It's definitely hilly, but certainly not mountainous.Flying into Kingston we flew over the container yards before landing. It's good to be home.
