This morning I woke up with the intention to head to the internet café in the morning and I did. I went there and spent an hour or so and thought about my lack of plan for the rest of the day. Since Stella was not around I called Julius and asked him if he wanted to meet up. He said he could later on. So I just went home and cleaned and made some fries with the potatoes I had and I ate for that lunch and relaxed. Julius eventually came by at around 3pm and we sat and talked until Stella came back. She told us about her trip to the Catholic retreat and how her experience was with Leti, Francis and Father Adelmo. Very funny and weird. She said that she was feeling ill but that we would go out together anyway.I was having anxiety all day and I was worrying so Julius and I decided it would be a nice Sunday idea to go for a fancy meal and enjoy ourselves to keep our mind off other things. So we all decided to go to Enjory Hotel. This is the fanciest place I’ve been to in Awassa and the food was delicious. Another ferenji called Felix was there and he was with an Ethiopian girl and her whole family and they seemed really dressed up. The sad thing was he was very dismissive about her when he came over to our table. On the next table, the owner of theinternet café was there. It was funny seeing him there. He was at a table with middle aged guys and looked bored.Stella was getting progressively more ill so she couldn’t eat her pizza and she went downstairs to rest on one of the sofas until we ate our food. We did, paid and got into a bajaj by which point she was looking very bad. She got into bed and Julius and I organized water for her and I gave her oral rehydration salts and let her be for the evening. Itwas a no brainer about whether she would be able to go to work the next day or not…yuck…getting ill here is not fun.Julius was a trooper hanging out with us ALL day with one sick woman and one worried one.
