Havent written in a days and Im very behind on the things I have done…let me see…where did I leave off…well…the day after I went to the clinic and got antibiotics for my traveler’s sickness, I spent Friday at home also. I just didn’t trust myself to be too far from my toilet. I clearly felt a lot better than the day before so I just pottered around the house and tried to rest.At around 9 or so, Stella came over crying and in a state. She came in and she told me that she’s unhappy at her workplace and explained all the problems that had been going on. We had some tea and talked it out and she felt better. We decided to make lunch after getting hungry and we joined forces in the cooking department. I made the rice and she made green beans and carrots and we ate that for lunch washed down with mango juice. My diet here is primarily vegetarian. I can’t really eat the meat here too often. I don’t trust the food anyway. After lunch we headed to the internet café and decided to just have a relaxing afternoon since we both needed to chill and get better. When at the internet café I received calls from the office which I didn’t answer and eventually when I did, it was Rev. Jeremiah calling to say that they were at my house and wanted to know where I was.Well, I was at the internet café but I was ill so I didn’t want them to think I was just taking a vacation so I told them I’m at the supermarket buying water and that Ill head back to my house to meet them. I did intersect with them at the roundabout and they were waiting on the company motorcycle for me. They told me they got worried when I didn’t answer the phone and thought I must be REALLY ill so they decided to come to my house. Well, they said they were just checking on me and they left. When I came home I found that, as they had mentioned they had left some flowers for me on myporch. That was sweet. I hate artificial flowers but it’s the thought that counts I suppose. I honestly wasn’t really feeling the sweetness of the gesture like Stella was telling me I should and she was laughing at my cynicism. I couldn’t help but feel it was way overkill for a boss to buy flowers and ride over to my house to see if I’m ok.Anyhow, for the rest of the day Stella and I watched Def Poetry and in the evening since it was Friday, we were scheduled to go out with the other volunteers. She was supposed to go meet with Leti and the old ladies at another place and I was supposed to join them later but I just hung around at home until they came and got me. Well, the electricity went out at around 8 so instead of getting ready I just lay on my bed and as expected, Stella and Julius came and knocked on my door. I quickly got ready and we headed to Daschun Bank building which is basically a five or six story building with a restaurant on the roof. We went up there and had some soda and then ordered some food and ate then headed back home and called it a night. During dinner, we did discuss that we would go over to Julius’ house for lunch the next day since he was going to be buying fish from the market early in the morning. I had an appointment online so I tentatively agreed.
