Hi Again,I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and is gearing up for 2012! I am here in Boca Raton with my dad and Aida. My sister was here for Christmas and it was great to get to hang with her! I am glad I have had this time here with family. Have gotten to the beach for a few hours, which has been nice! As always, time is going too fast and in just a week I am heading back to Kenya.Thanks to everyone who has kindly contributed to the ADOS kit! I have received $1000 in donations. Since being in the US I have been sharing some ideas with friends and family that I have had for some time and getting great ideas and advise. I plan to return to Kenya and start building my business to the next level. Like I mentioned in my last email, I will start training people under me. I plan to open an autism center in Kenya that will provide a range of services with the hope to open more centers in rural areas down the road. Later this year when I return to the US, I hope to start a 501 C3 (a non-profit organization) to help offset costs for families who cannot afford to pay full price and to provide services and training in rural areas. I will keep you all posted on this as it moves forward. Of course any ideas, help or suggestions are welcome as I venture into unknown territory!I have had an idea about ways to raise money in Kenya that some of you may be able to help with on this end. Today, dad and I went intoAT&T to upgrade his plan and got new iPhones (3GS version) for 99 cents! I realized the old phones I could take to Kenya and sell for good money to contribute to Autism Awareness Kenya and our big April event. If anyone has recently updated to a new phone and have the old phone available, would you consider donating it to this cause? If so, I will collect them when I am back or when friends come to the US.
