The Un-Co-Operative Bank

This is a major boo-hiss going out to theCo-operative Bank.I spent the first day back writing an angry letter to them that I've been waiting to send for a year and a half. I've always banked with the Co-Op for their ethical outlook on life but about six months after I got to Rwanda they decided to dispense with their customer care e-mail system. This means the only way to contact them is by phone! Whereas it is a 24-hour service, the cost of airtime here means that even with ten pounds on my phone I'd get as far as the first 'Thank you for waiting-' and run out of credit. It sucks BIG time. So much for all their spouting about making the world a better place when they've just alienated any of their customers, like me, who actually are volunteering in developing countries.Rant over. But yes, I sent them a summation of these thoughts but received no reply. So many UK banks are just shoddy when it comes to dealing with overseas customers. The only way for me to contact my bank now is to e-mail my dad and get him to call them on my behalf ;o/
