Yep. The Co-Op has just gone down the drain of my estimations. So sad. I've banked with them for 14 years, now when I actually need them they make it impossible for me to contact them.Since moving to Rwanda they discontinued their Customer Service e-mail link, as mentioned in myfirst poston this matter. When relatives contacted them on my behalf, they refused to phone me, saying they now couldn't. Yet they have phoned me in the past when I had an issue and contacted them by e-mail. So both of those services have now gone, leaving overseas customers stranded. They have an international number, but guess what! It's charged at international rates. This makes it impossible for me to phone them - it would take at least five to ten pounds (FRW 8,000) for me to get through the first 'thank you for calling'. Being a volunteer, I don't have that kind of cash! So, for anyone thinking of going overseas to work or volunteer, whatever you doDON'Tsign up with the Un-Co-Operative Bank.I'm now in a situation where a company are going to automatically renew a subscription I had - I have tried to contact the company twice to cancel this subscription and they refuse to reply. So I need to contact my bank to put a stop on the money going out. I cannot contact my bank. I found one e-mail address at the very bottom of their page and tried it, but again no reply. As a last-ditch attempt, I’m trying theFinancial Ombudsmanbut I’m not holding much hope.I'm absolutely disgusted with the Co-Op bank's treatment of overseas customers. They're right up there in star position withMTN Rwanda. May they both go bankrupt.
