In December 2020, a team of climbers embarked on a 9-day fact-finding climb of Margherita Peak, the highest point in the Rwenzori Mountains at 5,109 metres.
The team was led by Lilly Ajarova, CEO of Uganda Tourism Board and included champion kickboxer Moses Golola and athlete Joshua Cheptegei, 5,000m world record holder and a Commonwealth gold medallist.
