Sunday 22nd November - A game of twister by the lake

Today, my housemate Esther and I organised a trip to Apollo Dam which is home to a large reservoir in Chipata. Any landscape with water automatically excites me as it’s so strange moving from an Island in the English channel with a beach down the road straight to a hot landlocked country.We arranged to meet with some Zambian friends and their children at 14 hours, but in true Zambian style we didn’t hit the road until 16:30 which didn’t leave us much time before sunset, but we had a great time nonetheless. We had a braii (barbecue), played music, cards and even a game of Twister, which everyone loved. It’s amazing that even a game of twister can be so universal! A great way to spend asunny Sunday afternoon!
