I've been kindly donated a PC by some friends to use at my organisation (we are still with no computers and a printer), so as you can imagine, the process of doing work is taken up by travelling into town to write and print of an email, which can take some time and it costs! We're still in the process of typing the minutes from a recent AGM (held 4 weeks ago), but the photo-copier is currently not working (it's cheaper to print one copy and then photo-copy the rest and when you're on a small budget like we are, every Kwacha counts!) We're waiting until the photo-copier is fixed and then hopefully we can send the minutes to some key stakeholders and hope that they don't notice the cheap quality paper it's photo-copied on.Anyway, if anyone knows how I can go about shipping a PC from the South East of England to the South East of Zambia (cheaply) then let me know. We've begged BA, DHL and FedEx to give us some cheap deals but it looks like we're not the only ones trying to save some money. If anyone out there has a charitable mind or even a business mind and knows some contacts in the shipping industry, then drop me a comment as it would be great to have a computer in the office. Even if it's an old one!
