My first post on a blog .........Daniel announced his resignation yesterday, so finally I can stop being so careful as to what I say! Our departure has only just been finally confirmed (Visa still pending!) and I can't believe that we are going!It has been a surreal few months - going throught the application and assessment process. We were then offered placements and we have since been doing the necessary acceptance and training process.I've been lucky enough to have been given a 12 month career break from my job, so although I won't go back to exactly my current job  - I will have something. My career break has coincided with a reorganisation, so in some ways good timing!Our house has been rented out and the packing has begun!I've made contact with a couple of volunteers already in Delhi - Nikki& Michael, have had some handy hints (wouldn't have thought to pack a fleece jumper& gloves!) and am looking forward to meeting them.Received details of our flight yesterday - we fly on the 8th Novemeber. Very excitied (and a little bit scared!)
