As the countdown continues, we're busily packing, finishing our VSO training and saying goodbye to all our friends.Our flat is being rented out as from the end of this week - so it's a return to living with mum....for a week. You can't beat mum's cooking (although Katie does come close!) and her insistence every time I step through the door that I need food. Mum's eh?!The last 4 days have been spent at a residential training session in Birmingham covering some practical areas that should come in handy for our placement and it also gave us some space to reflect on what we'd both like to achieve. We also met up with other volunteers who are above to depart to the corners of the planet. We both now feel well equipped for the challenges that lie ahead - but who knows? But be assured, you'll find out first to find out as we blog our warts-and-all experience over the next 12 months.So inbetween all the packing, we've now got a fortnight left for goodbyes....so we'll be coming to a pub near you soon - starting with the Norwich Beer Festival tomorrow evening.... cheers!
