Gosh! I’ve been asked to go on local radio and talk about life in England but to be honest, it feels so long ago that I was back home in the UK (over a year now!), I’ve almost forgotten what England looks like!I head to the radio station where I’m met by none other than local celebrity producer Kelvin Mbewe who informs me that he’s just waiting for his ‘slot’ in the studio and then he’ll inform me when we can go in and ‘wrap up the programme’. He looks so young in real life! He can’t be older than 21. I suddenly feel very old…After sitting around listening to the current broadcast being aired in the reception, I get lost in the news about local protests by Chipata farmers and the impending fuel crisis. I then wonder how on earth my programme about life in England will fit into the rather newsworthy schedules of Breeze FM. I’m not left to ponder too much, as I can hear Kelvin calling me into the studio. Unfortunately I can't upload the recording to my blog as the African Internet is failing me. Maybe that's a good thing!
